Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Punjab has developed incredibly in the domain of education. The state has proudly secured the top spot in the National Achievement Survey 2024, marking a significant achievement for Punjab's government schools.
Proving that government schools are now truly associated with quality education.
Success isn't just about academics — 848 students passed NEET, 265 made it through JEE Mains, and 44 succeeded in JEE Advanced.
Programs such as the School of Eminence program and government-operated coaching camps have been a major driving force behind this change. More than 15.49 lakh students were provided with free textbooks and uniforms, and there should be no financial hurdle in the path of education. As many as 725 new teachers were recruited in 2025 alone, and over 10,000 contract teachers were regularized.
Now, Punjab's government school system is on par with private schools. These education reforms have shown that studying in a government school is now a matter of pride.
