Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for Category I
- Physics: Minimum 60% marks in BSc (Physics as principal and Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Computer Science as subsidiary subjects.
- Mechanical & Electronics/ Instrumentation: Diploma/ Licentiate in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum 60% marks.
Educational Qualification for Category II
- Electronics/ Instrumentation, Machinist/ Miller, Fitter, Turner: SSC or HSC with a minimum 60% marks in Science & Maths subjects PLUS ITI certificate in Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Machinist/ Fitter/ Turner/ Miller. The ITI/ NCVT qualification should be either of the following two
- a) ITI/NCVT put together of not less than 2 years OR
- b) ITI of one year duration Plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course.
- Laboratory: HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Maths, and Biology subjects. OR HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/ SSC with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory. The ITI/ NCVT qualification should be either of the following two-
- a) ITI/ NCVT put together of not less than 2 years OR
- b) ITI of one year duration Plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course
Age Limit (as on 17 October 2011):
- Category I: Minimum 19 years, Maximum: 24 years
- Category II: Minimum 18 years, Maximum: 22 years
Stipend
- Category I: Rs 9300 per month for 1st year, 2nd year stipend will be declared in due time period
- Category II: Rs 6,200 per month for 1st year and Rs 7,200 per month for 2nd year
In addition to above, both Categories I & II Trainees will be entitled for a one time book allowance of Rs 1,500 for purchase of approved books pertaining to their training course.
Selection Procedure: Written examination of one-hour duration will be conducted and will comprise of objective type questions. Candidates should come prepared to stay in Indore for the written test/ interview for minimum two days. Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of the performance of the candidates in interview. No weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination.
