After attaining the status of a full-fledged laboratory in December 1981, DTRL is actively engaged in terrain evaluation studies for meeting diverse needs of our armed forces. The vision of the lab is to become a technological leader in producing high resolution terrain intelligence products for Defence Applications. In this endeavour, DTRL is working for development of reliable systems for characterising terrain by employing modern techniques and systems to exploit the satellite data resources for varied applications.
In our ongoing efforts relating this, DTRL invites applications for the following vacancies of Junior Research Fellows (JRF):

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- JRF (Remote Sensing & GIS): MSc or equivalent in Remote Sensing (RS)/ RS and IS/ Geomatics with First Division
- JRF (Geology): MSc or equivalent in Geology/ Geography/ Applied Geology with First Division
- JRF (Computer Science): BE/ BTech/ MSc in Computer Science/ Engineering with First Division
- JRF (Civil Engineering): BE/ B Tech in Civil Engineering
Age Limit (as on 15 September 2011): Maximum 28 years
Emoluments: JRF's are offered a monthly stipend of Rs 14,000 per month + HRA and other facilities admissible as per rules.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of interview.
