The roles and responsibilities of college faculty members are closely associated with the central functions of higher education. These functions include enhancing collective human knowledge by promoting inquisition, to provide general instruction to the students, and to groom them into professionals in their chosen fields. The role of a professor is not limited to educating children about the subject they teach. They shape the way a nation looks, works and functions by forming the perspective of their students, who go on to make the 'masses' everyone keeps talking about.

At GLA University, Mathura, the faculty is driven towards imparting quality education to its students and to continuously enhance and enrich the teaching/learning process as well as to set such standards in education and otherwise, which other institutes would want to emulate.

It is important for a teacher to be experienced as they bring with them years of knowledge not only of subjects and concepts but a holistic approach to a particular discipline. They design classroom activities and lectures in a manner that can enable the university to maximize performance in terms of academics and the extracurricular activities. Faculty members and Professors at GLA bring all these qualities and much more the table!

An apt example for this would be GLA Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anand Mohan Agrawal. Mr Agrawal has experience of over 32 years in the field. He started his career as a Lecturer at ISM Dhanbad in 1984 and has been associated with various institutes all across the country scripting the new era of higher education in the country. He has worked as a professor for IGNOU and BIT Mesra in the past and is the perfect example of what a veteran can bring to the institution.

Studies have shown a positive relationship between teachers’ preparation of the subject matter they teach and student achievement which makes qualification of the teachers pivotal. Parents and students themselves want to trust their future with a person who has ample knowledge of the subject. A 'highly qualified' teacher acts as a guardian providing the starting point to the students to navigate through the minute details and complex concepts of the subject.

GLA University boasts off the presence of professors like Prof. Meenakshi Bajpai on the faculty bench who has superlative educational qualifications. She has received education in fields ranging from pharmaceuticals to human resource. She has done B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Ph.D, Post Graduate Diploma in Ecology and Environment, Diploma in Human Resource Management, MBA all within relatively short span of 18 years. This gives GLA students a great chance to interact with someone who has knowledge of many fields in such great depth.

The faculty also carries out research and development projects to achieve technological proficiency and interdependence.

GLA University’s strong institutional ties with other academic organizations, R&D organizations and industries have led to research collaboration in areas of mutual interest, exchange of invitations for guest lectures and talks, training programs and seminars. In addition, the University also grants seed funds to the interested faculty members for initiating research with the government and other funding agencies.

GLA University also gives stress on creating a good communication with the industry so that the administration, accompanied by the faculty can revise the curriculum so that the students do not fall short in any area. There is a dedicated faculty which has great connection with the people of industry and that makes the institution such a great place to study at.
