Sarkari Naukri 2020-2021: Good News for the government jobs seekers! Recently, the Union Minister Jitendra Singh has put an end to interview round from Govt Jobs Recruitment for various Group-B (non-gazetted) and Group-C Posts in the Central government. This has been implemented in 23 states and eight union territories. Now, the selection of the candidates shall be done on the basis of their performance in written test only.

Back in 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from the rampart of the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day, had given suggestion to end the  interview  and making job selection totally on the basis of written test, he said.

On the advice of Prime Minister, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) conducted a comprehensive exercise and completed the process to announce the abolition of the interview for recruitment in the Central Government Jobs within three months from 01 January 2016.

He added, that some states including Maharashtra and Gujarat were agreed for the implementation of this new rule while some were disagreed. Now, after all persuasion and repeated reminders to certain State governments, all the eight Union Territories of India including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and 23 of the 28 states of the country agreed for the removal of interview for the government jobs.

The aim to bring rationality and fairness in the process of the recruitment as there were complaints, grievances and allegations about marks in interview being manipulated to help certain favoured candidates.

According to Mr Singh, considering the written examination marks for merit will offer an equal level-playing field to all the candidates.

He said, this rule will also save lots of substantial expenditure incurred in conducting an interview of candidates whose number often ran in thousands.

Every year, the government of year conducts various central govt jobs exam. The jobs are released by SSC, IBPS, SBI, RBI, Indian Railways,  FCI and many others. Now, the exam will be the only criteria for selection for all Group B and Group C Posts. Check Latest Government Jobs Below
