The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd invited applications from eligible, unmarried and medically fit male/female candidates, Indian nationals, who are desirous of pursuing a career at sea, for the DNS course leading to B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science) for August’ 2016 Batch.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of IMU CET i.e. Common Entrance Test for Maritime Training. The eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed format on or before 13 May 2016.
Eligibility Criteria for Maritime Training through IMU CET: Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) with not less than 60% marks and not less than 55% for SC/ST Candidates. (Students who have appeared for 10+2 examination and waiting for results are also eligible to apply & qualify for examination subject to their securing 60% marks in PCM prior commencement of course). Or;
Pass in B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with not less than 50% marks in final year from a recognized university. Physics should be an individual subject in one of the years in B.Sc. provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized University.
