1. Flight-trial of India’s first long-range hypersonic missile

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted a flight-trial of the country's first long-range hypersonic missile.

 2.GLDF Results Management Training in Delhi 

The Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF) Results Management Training will be conducted in New Delhi from November 19-22, 2024. India is organising the event with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

  • The professional belongs to anti-doping practices and experts will participate in the four day events.
  • Countries participating are-Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Kyrgyzstan, and Laos, along with representatives from international organizations such as WADA, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), and the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

3. Semiconductor unit in Morigaon, Assam

Morigaon, Assam will be witnessing the development of India’s ambitious development of a semiconductor unit spearheaded by Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Pvt Ltd (TSAT).

  • A total of Rs. 27,000 crore investment is likely to be require for the project.
  • The Plant is expected to produce up to 48 million semiconductor chips per day.
  • Industry estimates place the Indian semiconductor market at approximately $38 billion in 2023.
  • It is projected indicating growth to $109 billion by 2030.

4. World Toilet Day 2024@ November 19

World Toilet Day is use to celebrated annually on November 19. The day is an official United Nations observance which has been envisaged for raising global awareness and action to address the urgent sanitation crisis.

  • Theme-‘Toilets - A Place for Peace’
  • 2.2 billion people still lack safely managed drinking water, and 2 billion lack basic hygiene services, including 653 million with no facilities at all.
  • Around 3.5 billion people still living without safely managed sanitation.
  • Still 419 million people practicing open defecation around the world.
  • According to World Health Organization (WHO) report in 2023, unsafe water, sanitation, and hygiene are responsible for approximately 1,000 deaths of children under the age of five every day.

5. 83rd (NPG) @PM GatiShakti Evaluates 8 key Projects
