Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close down the application form of Combined Defence Service (II) Examination today at 6 pm (evening). Candidates who want to be a part of the Defence Services of the country need to apply before the time is out by visiting the official site of UPSC.

Candidates only have few hours left to apply for the examination. The admit card for the selected candidates will be available in September to October 2017. UPSC CDS (II) Exam 2017 is scheduled to happen on 19 November 2017.
Know the Eligibility Criteria before Applying
To apply for UPSC CDS (II) Examination, candidates should meet the minimum eligibility criteria before applying. Candidates should have graduation degree from recognized University or equivalent for IMA & Officers Training Academy, Degree in Engineering & Degree from recognized university/ institution for Indian Naval Academy, Degree of a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engg for Air Force Academy to be eligible to apply.
The age limit is also a part of eligibility criteria and need special mention for candidates who still haven’t applied. The age limit will vary for each academy to academy. Candidates should opt to look for official notification for confirmation of age limit.
Selection Procedure for the CDS II Examination Followed
The candidates who will apply for Combined Defence Services (II) Examination 2017 have to go through a set of selection procedure to get appointed.
The short listing of candidates will be through the written test. The candidates who have qualified the written test are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to enable them to receive call up for SSB Interview.
Details about the process to Apply and Application Fee Needed
To apply for UPSC CDS (II) Examination 2017, candidates should submit Rs 200/- application fee and apply online at upsconline.nic.in. Female candidates along with SC/ST candidates are exempted from the application fee.
No other mode of application will be accepted. The candidate should ensure that they are fulfilling all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination at all the stages of the examination.
