Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Director & Other Posts

Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Director: Degree in Engineering in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronic disciplines from a recognized university OR Master’s degree in Science in the subjects of Electronics or Physics.
• Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering OR M.Sc in Physics with specialization in Electronics from a recognized University.
• Specialist Grade-III: A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology).
• Specialist Grade-III: A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Vascular Surgery).
• Assistant Chemist: Master’s Degree in any branch of Chemistry OR Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Institution OR Degree or Diploma conferred by the Associate Institute of Chemist (India) in Chemistry.
• Assistant Geologists: Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Geo-chemistry or Marine Geology or Earth Science & Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies (Coastal Geology) or Environmental Geology or Geo-informatics from a recognized University or Institution.
• Deputy Director: Master’s degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Science: Life Science/Bio Science/Botany/Zoology/Ecology/Environmental Science/Wildlife; or Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
• Deputy Director: Master’s degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science: Political Science/ Public Administration/Geography/Economics.
• Executive Engineer: Degree in Civil Engineering or BE (Civil) or B. Tech. (Civil) or B.Sc. Engineering (Civil) or A.M.I.E (Civil) from a recognized university/Institute.

• Assistant Director: 40 years
• Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II: 35 yrs
• Specialist Grade-III: 40 years
• Specialist Grade-III: 43 years
• Assistant Chemist: 30 years
• Assistant Geologists: 30 years
• Deputy Director: 40 years
• Deputy Director: 45 years
• Executive Engineer: 43 years
