UPSC is going to conduct CDS 2 exam this weekend at its pre-scheduled 42 centres across the country. More than 3 lac candidates are expected to appear for the second season exam of Combines Defence Services on 23 October 2016.
UPSC had issued Admit Card for CDS 2 exam through its official website upsconline.nic.in. By now, the candidates applied to appear for examination may have downloaded their admit cards.
With CDS 2 Exam, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will shortlist the candidates for SSB, the second round, examination to fill up 413 vacancies at various Academies - Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy.
The appearing candidates by now may have a good grip over the syllabus and also the exam pattern. But in case candidates miss out something, it is good to take a look at the table given below for your exam pattern.
As usual, this year too, UPSC has two types of exam pattern for Combined Defence Service Examination.
The first pattern is applicable for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. The examination will be held for two hours comprising of 100 marks for each subject. The subjects included in the examination are English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.
The second pattern of examination is held for admission to Offices’ Training Academy. The time duration and marks will be same as the first pattern, only subjects will be English and general knowledge.
The examination will have objective type questions in it. General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics question paper will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English language. This is done for candidates to understand the questions clearly and properly as per their language choice.
The CDS II Examination 2016 will be held across the nation at various centres. The centres are Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal,Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur And Visakhapatnam.
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) will be conducting the interview for candidates who qualifies the UPSC CDS II Exam 2016. The interview will help the candidates for admission to various academies.
