Mizoram University will conduct Walk-In Interview for 2 posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on 4 February 2013. The interview for DBT sponsored Major for a period of 4 years will commence at 11 am in the Office of the PI, Department of Forestry, Mizoram University.
The criteria for attending the interview will be Masters in Science degree in Forestry/ Botany/ Environmental Science/ Soil Science/ Biogeochemistry or related subjects and work experience in soil/plants. Candidates will be required to bring application form on plain paper along with bio-data and supporting documents on the time to appear before the selection committee.
The research topic for JRF is titled as “Impact assessment of Jhuming on native plants and soil microbiota and restoration of sustainable jhum agro-ecosystem in Northeast India”. The appointment made for this project will be temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The selected candidates will be paid Rs 16000 along with 10% HRA for 2 years and Rs 18000 along with 10% HRA afterwards if they have a having NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualification. However, in the absence of NET/GATE qualification, it shall be Rs 12000/- + 10% HRA for the first two years and Rs. 14000/- +10% HRA afterwards.
The Mizoram University was established on 2 July 2001 as a Central University by Mizoram University Act 2000 of the Parliament of India. The university has embarked on various programmes for academic and administrative development.
