It is very important to have an idea of examination pattern and difficulty level of any competitive examination. This WBJEE Sample paper will certainly help in polishing one's question solving skill and time management. This sample paper matches exact pattern of WBJEE Engineering Exam. This paper also provide important questions that are expected to come in WBJEE-2017 examination.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state level entrance examination which is conducted each year for admission to Undergraduate Level Engineering and Medical Courses.
Few sample questions from the Solved Sample Paper are given below:
Q. Two persons A and B start from the same location and walked around a square in opposite directions with constant speeds. The square has side 60m. Speeds of A and B are 4m/s and 2m/s respectively. when will they meet first time
Correct Option: (D)
Time at which they meet = time taken to complete one round by the net velocity
4t + 2t = 4 x 60
t = 40sec
Q. Bessemer converter is used for the preparation of
(B) Cast Iron
(C) Pure Iron
(D) none of these
Correct Option: (A)
Bessemer converter is used for preparation of steel. The iron obtained from blast furnace is impure or pig iron. It then undergoes bessemerisation. This process is based on the fact that the impurities present in the pig iron are completely oxidised to form almost pure wrought iron. It is then mixed with known amount of spiegeleisen (an alloy of Fe, Mn and C) to obtain steel.
Q. A vector R is given by R = A x (B x C). Which of the following is true
(A) R is parallel toA
(B) R must be parallel to B
(C) R must be perpendicular to B
(D) None of these
Correct Option: (D)
R must be perpendicular to A as well as perpendicular to B x C.
R=A x (B x C) = i x [(i + j) x k] =i x [(-j + i)]=-k
Hence R is neither parallel nor perpendicular to B.
