State Bank of India (SBI) has issued notification for recruitment to 2000 posts of Probationary Officers (PO). The candidates who are eligible and are interested can apply for the post by visiting the official website of SBI. The last date of applying for the post is 02 May 2015.
The candidates who wish to apply should know the eligibility criteria before applying so that they are not declared as unqualified for the post. Eligibility Criteria includes educational qualification and age limit.

Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01 September 2015. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01 September 2015.
Age Limit
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2015 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1985 and not later than 01.04.1994 (both days inclusive).

Reservation For Persons With Disability (Pwd) :
Vacancies are reserved for Orthopaedically Impaired (OH) and Visually Impaired (VH) as per Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995. Following categories of Persons with Disabilities are eligible to get the benefit of reservation-

(a) Persons with OA and OAL category should have normal bilateral hand functions.
(b) Blindness refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following Conditions, namely:-
(i) Total absence of sight; or
(ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with Correcting lenses; or
(iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse;
(c) “Person with Low Vision“ means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device.
(d) Only such persons would be eligible for reservations who suffer from not less than 40 per cent of relevant disabilities. A person who wants to avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate as per format prescribed by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment' Notification No. G.S.R. 2 (E) dated 30.12.2009.
