The Bombay High Court on 15 December 2010 upheld Nusli Wadia's role as the caretaker of 600 acres in suburban Malad valued at Rs 22000 crore. The prime property includes in its fold the mega retail chain stores - Hypercity and Inorbit. The dispute involved business barons Nusli Wadia and real estate major Rahejas over the prime property. Investigations were started by Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Maharashtra Police after Wadia had filed a suit against Rahejas alleging fraud in February 2010. Ferani Hotels had in early 2010 filed a petition to revoke and annul the order dated 20 November 2003 which authorized Wadia to continue to act as administrator of the estate of one Eduljee Framroze Dinshaw. The petition had claimed that role as administrator ended with the death of Bachoobai Woronzow Dashkow, the sole survivor and sister Dinshaw.
