The economictimes .com BPO Industry Awards 2010 were given out on 27 October 2010. The award had ten different categories. Through these awards several emerging companies as well as the established ones were rewarded for their achievements in the BPO industry. The awards were held in association with QAI and were enabled by Curtains Up, that creates neutral knowledge based platforms for India Inc. Pradeep Gupta, chairman and managing director of CyberMedia , Raman Roy, chairman and managing director of Quatrro BPO Solutions (P) Ltd and T K Arun, Editor- Delhi , The Economic Times were the judges who decided upon the awards in the different categories. Awardees in the significant categories are as follows:
Emerging Company of the Year: Sun knowledge
Domestic Company of the Year: InTarvo Technologies
Operational Excellence & Quality: Fidelity Information Services
Technology Award in the domestic category: Intelenet Global Services
Technology Award in the International categor: Genpact
Social Catalyst of the Year: Rural Shores
The Company of the Year in the International category: Wipro BPO
Aparup Sengupta of Aegis BPO received Special Jury award. Sengupta was also chosen as CEO of the Year. David Andrews of Xchanging won the BPO Entrepreneur of the Year award.
