State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced its new logo along with seven services aimed at citizens. The new initiatives focus on security, affordability, and reliability. These efforts aim to enhance connectivity in both rural and urban areas.
The launch event took place at Bharat Sanchar Bhavan and was attended by the Secretary of Telecom, the CMD of BSNL, and senior officials from DoT, BSNL, CDoT, ITI, and TCIL.
How is BSNL New Logo Different from Old?
The new logo represents accessibility, strength, and trust. The bright orange background represents warmth and inclusivity, while the green and white arrows encircling India highlight the company's extensive national reach. In the new logo of BSNL the word India has been replaced by Bharat. The slogan 'Connecting Bharat' emphasizes BSNL's objective to close the digital gap by providing a cutting-edge, dependable telecom network that links India's cities and rural areas.
7 New Services of BSNL
BSNL has rolled out seven new services to enhance its affordable mobile connectivity offerings. Check out the key details of these services in the simple pointers below:
- Spam-Blocking Program: Automatically filters out and stops fraudulent SMSs and phishing attempts to enhance security.
- Nationwide Wi-Fi Roaming Service: BSNL FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) users can access high-speed internet anywhere in India at no extra cost.
- Fiber-Based Intranet TV Service: Offers over 500 live channels without using up the internet bandwidth, a first-of-its-kind service.
- Direct-to-Device Connectivity Solution: Combines satellite and terrestrial mobile networks to provide seamless access, enabling UPI payments and text messages in areas without terrestrial networks.
- Encrypted Communication Service: Provides secure communication channels for government and humanitarian organizations during crises or disasters.
- Emergency Coverage Technology: Uses balloon and drone-based technology to increase network coverage during emergencies.
- Satellite & Terrestrial Network Integration: Ensures smooth communication and service availability in remote and underserved areas.
BSNL is set to launch its 5G services soon. The company has successfully tested its 5G network, including both the 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz frequency bands.
