Chinese Army stopped Indians from using water supply and construction work at the T-Point of Demchok area of Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.

T-Point of Demchok area of Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir was in news in September 2014 due to incursion by China. During the incursion, Chinese army stopped Indians from using water supply and construction work at T-Point in Demchok area. Demchock area is about 300 kilometer from Leh.


As per reports, the Chinese army and civilians from across the border came near the T-point and didn’t allowed Indian labourers and contractors to complete the water supply project near the river.

The water supply project is being developed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) by the Leh district administration. The water of this river is also used by Chinese civilians.
