Khanij Videsh India Limited (KABIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research- Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT) for technical and knowledge collaboration for Critical Minerals. KABIL is a joint venture of three Indian public sector undertakings, NALCO, HCL and MECL, under the aegis of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.

Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane recently presided over the first steel cutting of Fleet Support Ships (FSS) for the Indian Navy at Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam. He also laid the foundation stone for modernization of slipways and key infrastructure to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the yard.

This day is celebrated in honor of Yuri Gagarin, the first man to go into space.  The UN General Assembly had announced the celebration of this day in the year 2011. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin of the Soviet Union became the first man to travel around the Earth in space.
