Bhavdeep Singh, CEO of Delhi-based Fortis Healthcare resigned in November 2010. He cited family reasons for his decision to quit. He was appointed as the CEO of country’s second largest hospital chain, Fortis in February 2009 with an objective to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cost. Prior to joining Fortis, he worked with Reliance Retail. Singh has to his credit a 30 year experience of working in the retail sector. In 2006, he had joined the RPG Group to head Spencer Retail. In 2008 he joined Reliance Fresh, a unit of Reliance Retail.
Fortis Healthcare appointed Vishal Bali as the new CEO of Fortis Global Healthcare (FGH).
Fortis Global Healthcare is the overseas healthcare arm privately owned by the Singh brothers- Malvinder and Shivinder Singh. Bali was previously the CEO of Fortis Hospitals, a group of hospitals which Fortis acquired from Wockhardt Hospitals in 2009.
