Maharashtra Government approved Grant for Minority Welfare Schemes

The Maharashtra government on 29 May 2013 approved release of grant for various schemes of minorities' development. State finance ministry approved 10 crore rupees for improving infrastructure in schools and 10 crore rupees more for modernisation of madrasa institutions.

An additional 1.5 crore rupees were allocated for police pre-recruitment training scheme and for increasing the stipend of teachers from 3000 rupees to 5000 rupees under the Marathi Language Foundation class scheme. 3.5 crore rupees were allotted to provide free bicycles to girls from the minority community. 3 crore rupees will be allocated for a Haj house at Aurangabad for the same. 50 crore rupees were also provided for Maulana Azad Financial Development Corporation.
