MakeMyTrip acquired travel startup Mygola
The company has raised capital from Helion Ventures, Blumberg Capital and 500Startups, among other angel investors.
Online travel services provider MakeMyTrip on 22 April 2015 has acquired startup travel guide firm Mygola.
MakeMyTrip Group has acquired 100 per cent of Mygola. The amount of the acquisition was not disclosed. The acquisition is done through the company’s earlier announced innovation fund, which is formed to invest in start up or early-stage companies in the travel technology space.
Mygola was founded in 2009 by Anshuman Bapna and Prateek Sharma. The company has raised capital from Helion Ventures, Blumberg Capital and 500Startups, among other angel investors.
MakeMyTrip’s services and products include air tickets, customised holiday packages, hotel bookings, railway tickets, bus tickets, car hire and facilitating access to travel insurance.
Mygola Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Anshuman Bapna. MakeMyTrip Group CEO is Deep Kalra.
