Muradian Khalmuratov Clinched Gold in Men's Category of Hero Asian Cycling Championship

Muradian Khalmuratov clinched second gold by winning individual road race event in Asian champion's title of Hero Asian Cycling Championship on 17 March 2013.

Muradian Khalmuratov of Uzbekistan clinched second gold by winning the 156.2 km individual road race event in the men's category of Asian champion's title on final day of Hero Asian Cycling Championship on 17 March 2013.
 
With this, the total tally of Muradian Khalmuratov, 31, became two gold. Earlier, he had won the gold in 42.6 km individual time trial event.

The favourite for this title was Iran's Sohrabi Mehdi, who finished at the 12th position. The Iranian team won silver which was won by Arvin Goudarzi. Kazakhstan's Andrey Mizurov won the bronze. In the meanwhile, there were four Indian cyclists- Arvind Panwar, Atul Kumar, Amresh Singh and Sombir Singh who did not finish the race.

The overall tally for Kazakhstan was three gold, four silver and two bronze. On the other hand, Hong Kong and China completed the tournament with two gold and a bronze. Uzbekistan won two gold in the tournament.

In 2014, Asian Cycling Championship will take place at Astana, Kazakhstan.
