The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched India's first analog space mission in Leh, Ladakh, a pioneering step in the country's space exploration efforts. The mission, led by ISRO's Human Space Flight Centre, brings together partners from AAKA Space Studio, University of Ladakh, IIT Bombay.

According to the latest report of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India's total gold reserves with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is 854.73 metric tonnes. A significant portion of these reserves, 510.46 metric tonnes, is stored domestically within India. The remaining gold reserves are kept abroad, of which 324.01 metric tonnes are kept safe in the Bank of England and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

Air Marshal Ajay Kumar Arora assumed appointment as Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance of the Indian Air Force at Air Headquarters. After assuming charge, the Air Marshal paid floral tribute at the National War Memorial in honour of the Armed Forces personnel who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. He was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering stream of the IAF in August 1986.

America's Global Finance magazine has declared State Bank of India (SBI) as India's Best Bank for 2024. Global Finance recognised SBI as India's Best Bank for 2024 at the 31st Annual Best Bank Awards ceremony. SBI Chairman CS Setty received this award.

With an aim to promote wildlife tourism in Gujarat, the first phase of Barda Wildlife Sanctuary and Barda Jungle Safari will be inaugurated on October 29 at Kapurdi check post of Devbhoomi Dwarka. The Barda Wildlife Sanctuary inaugurated in Dwarka will be the second habitat for Asiatic lions.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the setting up of Special Education Zones (SEZs) in six districts—Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Bundelkhand—to promote education in the state. These SEZs will be integrated centres of education and skill development, which will provide high level education to the students.
