Scotland ICC T20 World Cup Squad 2024

According to Cricket Scotland, 13 members of the squad played a crucial role in the qualifying campaign in the UAE during April and May, where Scotland made history by securing a spot in the senior ICC Women’s World Cup for the first time. Joining this group are Olivia Bell and Abbi Aitken-Drummond, who also contributed to Scotland's recent success in the Tri-Series in the Netherlands.

Scotland is set to compete against Bangladesh, West Indies, South Africa, and England in Group B, with the top two teams advancing to the semifinal stage. The tournament kicks off on October 3, with Scotland facing Bangladesh in the opening match in Sharjah.

Craig Wallace, Head Coach of Scotland’s Women's team, mentions: “This is a special day for everyone connected with this team. To be part of the first group of Scottish players to be selected for a senior Women’s World Cup is a great achievement, and the players and their families should be so proud.”

“The makeup and balance of this squad is outstanding. We’ve got match-winners from start to finish within it, which I think is the big difference in the evolution of this squad during my short tenure. People have been putting in crucial performances each time they step onto the field, and that runs right the way through the squad,” he adds.
