India have named their squad for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup, starting on 3 October. The Women in Blue, who reached the semi-finals in the previous edition, are placed in Group A of the competition along with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Harmanpreet will be assisted by vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, who is expected to open the batting with Shafali Verma, while Dayalan Hemalatha is another top-order option in the squad. Apart from them, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Richa Ghosh will boost a formidable batting line-up.

Additionally, India will have three travelling reserves for the tournament in the UAE. The team boasts a strong contingent of all-rounders, including Harmanpreet, Sajana, Sobhana, and Deepti, providing versatility and depth to the squad.
India's pace attack will be led by Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, and Renuka Singh Thakur, providing a strong fast-bowling contingent. The spin department will feature Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Sajana Sajeevan, offering a variety of options.

We're on the same road now and getting ready for our World Cup campaign. The team is working really hard and our attempt will be to give our country and fans another opportunity to celebrate this year."
