Many car accidents unfortunately take place on the roads of India, but the recent Pune Porsche car case is perhaps different from others.
The Porsche team has inspected the Porsche car that actually became the reason of the deaths of two engineers on May 19 in Pune. The roar of the case was so high that it outraged the complete nation.
What exactly is the Pune Porsche Car case? Here we explain every bit of it.
Understanding the Pune Porsche Car Case
It is alleged that the Porsche Taycan was driven drunk by the son of a Pune based realtor. The alleged driver was 17 year old. The car ruthlessly rammed a woman and a man who were on a bike. Unfortunately, both of them lost their lives due to the incident.
In a cover-up attempt, the parents and grandfather of the 17 year old have been arrested in an investigation.
Later, a report had been submitted by Porsche that stated that the car had no issues. Such inspections by the team of the car are actually a part of the criminal proceeding that has been conducted against the 17 year old. The teenager had been on remand home.
What made the whole country boil in outrage was that the teen was granted bail in just 15 hours of the car accident on conditions that are considered nothing but quite insubstantial. The condition presented before the teenager was just to write a 300 word essay, along with working with the traffic police for 15 day and attending psychiatric treatment and counselling as a cure for his drinking habit. All these conditions outraged the country, as the accident actually killed the two engineers on road.
Later, the Juvenile Justice Board modified the order and sent the teenager to an observation home.
Was the family of the accused involved in the case?
The grandfather and father of the 17 year old were arrested on grounds alleging their involvement in the case. Additionally, on June 1, the mother of the teenager was arrested as a probe suggested that the lady allegedly swapped the blood sample of the teenager with her own in order to conceal the drinking state of the teenager in the medical test.
Moreover, it has been alleged that the father and the grandfather of the boy have threatened the driver and forcibly confined him in their bungalow, just to compel him to take the complete responsibility of the crime.
