The feature was announced by Elon Musk on his X account and it mentions: “Today, we are excited to announce Articles, a new way to write and share long-form content with your followers on X.”

“Bring up the Article composer by selecting Articles in the sidebar on web. From there, you can begin crafting your content using a variety of formatting options, including bold, italic, and strikethrough text, as well as bullet points and numbered lists. You can also embed images and videos to enhance your storytelling and add visual interest to your Articles,” it adds. 

This is a significant change for Twitter, which has traditionally limited posts to 280 characters. Articles, however, cater to users who crave more space to express themselves. Imagine detailed breakdowns of current events, in-depth analyses, or even creative fiction – all unfolding within the familiar Twitter interface.

But there's a catch: crafting these extended narratives comes with a premium price tag. Articles are exclusive to paying subscribers, likely part of Twitter's strategy to incentivize users to upgrade their accounts.

As of now, Only Premium+ subscribers and verified organisations can publish Articles on X . Here are the steps to use the new feature: 

• Subscribe to X Premium+ or be a verified organisation.
• Go to the Articles tab on x.com.
• Click "Write" and create your masterpiece!
• Hit "Publish" to share your Article with the world.
