Avadh Ojha, a well-known civil services coach and motivational speaker, has garnered attention recently by joining the Aam Aadmi Party formally on December 2, 2024. His decision was announced at a ceremony attended by Arvind Kejriwal, National Convenor of AAP, along with senior leader Manish Sisodia. Being a strong advocate for improving education in India, Ojha's decision to join the AAP resonates well with their education policies, which work to benefit the youth of India.

Early Life and Education

Avadh Ojha was born on July 3, 1984, in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. He comes from a middle-class family. His father, Shrimata Prasad Ojha, used to be a postmaster who, to give education to his son, compromised with his financial interests and could not afford his child's education. However, he could not clear the mains after passing the prelims. Avadh redirected his focus towards coaching. Thus, he has been shaped through such experiences regarding the Indian educational scenario.

Ojha graduated from Fatima Inter College, Gonda. He was interested in IAS, so he came to Delhi to prepare for the UPSC exams. However, this journey had many disappointments that motivated him to teach.

Career as an Educator

Affectionately known as "Ojha Sir" by his students, Avadh Ojha is one of the most prominent educators in the civil services coaching sector. He is the best history teacher and master teacher of complex concepts who can present and make it easy and exciting for his students. Thousands of UPSC aspirants have been guided to reach their goals by him.

He has also founded IQRA IAS Coaching in Pune, Maharashtra. He further designed the Avadh Ojha Mobile Application providing materials, live classes, and expert guidance at negligible prices, so expanded his reach to a wider audience.

Vision for Education Reform

Ojha's recent entry into politics is driven by his lifelong dedication to transforming India's educational system. During the announcement of his joining AAP, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to educational reforms through political engagement.
