IIT-Hyderabad graduate Sneha Reddy has bagged a whopping Rs 1.2 crore salary package from search engine giant Google. Reports suggest that this is the highest pay package received by a student of the institute ever since it was established in 2008. 22-year-old Sneha is a computer science graduate and she has been selected for Google Intelligence project. Sneha has also won a gold medal given away by IIT-Hyderbad on the eve of VIIth Convocation. She received the medal under ‘Excellence in Academics and Co-curricular activities’, on Sunday from President Ram Nath Kovind.
The average package offered to students of IIT-Hyderabad is around Rs 11 lakh and the highest salary offered to any of them till May was Rs 40 lakh. Interstingly, the topper of Sneha's batch - Ibrahim Dalal has bagged salary package of Rs 35 lakh per annum. Dalal too won gold medal for scoring best CGPA in 2018.
Sneha, who hails from Warangal, was supposed to visit the United States for his final round of interview after completing three rounds of online test. As she was not able to go there, the search engine giant arranged final round of interview through online, considering her exceptional performance in previous three rounds.
Sneha's father is Sudhakar works in a software firm and is proud of his daughter. Sneha thanked the institution for encouraging all the students which helped her in getting selected for Google.
