
The All Indian Institute of Medical Science has released the prospectus for the MBBS 2019 Programme. AIIMS released the prospectus on February 23rd, 2019. Candidates who have successfully completed the basic registration process for the AIIMS MBBS 2019 programme can now download the information brochure from the official website.
AIIMS has released all the details of the AIIMS MBBS exam such as the exam pattern, preparation of result, counseling details and complete admission process in the information brochure. The Institute has also re-opened the code generation process for eligible students from February 23rd to March 12th, 2019. Candidates who have already generated their codes can now begin their final registration process the was commenced on February 23rd, 2019 by the institute.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 Entrance Examination is scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th May 2019. The exam will be held in the computer-based test mode. The admit cards for the AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be available from May 15, 2019, onwards. AIIMS offers a total of 1207 medical seats at the Undergraduate level through the 15 AIIMS Institutes. 6 Major Changes Introduced in AIIMS MBBS Programme
Candidates aspiring to secure admission in the AIIMS MBBS 2019 programme can refer below for some of the changes introduced by the committee with regards to the program
- Change in AIIMS Application Process - The institute started online registration for AIIMS MBBS along with a new facility of PAAR ((Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration).
- Six New AIIMS Introduced - 6 new AIIMS Institutes have been introduced from 2019 Academic Year for admission to MBBS courses making a total of 15 AIIMS across the country. The six new campuses are located in Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Deogarh and Bibinagar.
- Hike in AIIMS MBBS Seats - With the introduction of 6 new AIIMS, the number of AIIMS MBBS Seats available have also increased. AIIMS now has a total of 1207 MBBS seats at UG level of this, 300 seats are available in the new campuses
- 100 Seats added in Guntur and Nagpur- The Authorities have also hiked the number of MBBS seats in AIIMS Guntur and Nagpur Campuses by 100. A total of 100 seats each have been added in these two institutes.
- Change in PwD Aspirants eligibility Criteria - The minimum qualifying percentage for the Class 12 candidates belonging to PwD category has been decreased to 45% from 50%.
- Reduction in number AIIMS exam cities - The institute has also disclosed the list of AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam centres and there is a dip of two centres. This year, AIIMS MBBS exam will be conducted in a total of 153 cities only.
