AKTU Polytechnic Exams 2019: The Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow has postponed the polytechnic semester-end examinations scheduled on 23rd and 24th December 2019. The decision to postpone the examinations has been taken due to the prevailing unrest in the state over the Citizenship Amendment Act. Along with the Polytechnic exams the technical university has also postponed the old semester theory examinations also scheduled to be conducted on the same date.
The new dates for AKTU polytechnic and old semester theory examinations will soon be released by the University. The official notice released by the University reads that the University examinations scheduled on December 23 and 24 have been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. Earlier, AKTU had postponed the examinations scheduled to be conducted from 19th December to 21st December 2019. The University recently released a notice containing the revised dates for these exams. The notice mentioned that the exams from 19th to 21st December 2019 which were postponed will now be held from 5th to 7th January 2020.
The UP Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari, Prayagraj, has also delayed the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) scheduled to be held on 22nd December 2019 amid the ongoing protest over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the state. The revised dates for UPTET are yet to be announced by the conducting authority. UPTET is conducted for recruiting candidates to vacant teachers’’ posts in the State Government run schools from Classes 1 to 8. According to reports, over 16 lakh candidates have applied to appear for the UPTET exam.
