BHU Semester Exams 2020 to be held as Assignment Based Tests for Final and Intermediate Semester Students, Get Details Here

BHU Semester Exams 2020: As per the latest update, the Banaras Hindu University has decided to hold the Semester Exams 2020 as Assignment Based Tests in the light of COVID-19 pandemic. The varsity plans to hold semester exams for both final year as well as intermediate semester students for the 2019-20 academic session. According to the details shared in a media reports, the University’s Executive Council has approved the decision of holding Semester Exams for 2020-21 session as Assignment Based Tests. The varsity will issue formal notification confirming the details about the format of the Assignment Based Exam 2020 and how exactly they would be held for different courses and students.

Assignments to be Submitted Via Email

Initial updates coming from the BHU office have confirmed that the varsity’s assignment based tests will be held online. As part of this new format of testing and evaluation, teachers would provide students with assignments over an Email, which will have to be worked upon and completed within the given time-frame of around 15 days. Following the completion of the assignment, students will be able to submit their completed assignments online via an Email to their respective teachers or departments.

Results for Assignment Based Tests by 31st August

Following the completion of the assignment based testing for students, the concerned teachers would begin the evaluation work and award marks to the students on the basis of their assignment. The varsity has set a deadline of 31st August 2020 for teachers to complete the evaluation work and upload the marks for the assignment based test for Semester Exams 2020 on or before 31st August 2020. To ensure uniformity in testing format and evaluation, the varsity has suggested some standard guidelines or SOPs with regards to standards of assignments across different courses. Faculty or Department heads are advised to take the necessary steps for the new format of tests accordingly.
