Bridge Course launched for Maharashtra students from Classes 2 to 10 by state education minister

 Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has launched a bridge course prepared by the State Council of Education Research and Training for the students from classes 2 to 10. The course will be for a duration of 45 days.

Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has launched a bridge course prepared by the State Council of Education Research and Training for the students from classes 2 to 10. The bridge course will be conducted for a duration of 45 days and will be taught for the Marathi, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, English, and Science subjects.

The minister while announcing the bridge course stated that the course will be implemented for a period of 45 days conducted from July 1 to August 14, 2021. The minister has also asked the teachers in the state to review the previous academic year of the students through the bridge course. The students in the state have spent most of the academic year without attending schools and learning with online classes considering the pandemic. The minister further added that the bridge course will not only connect two classes but will also carry forward the education of the students who have been left behind.

The students will also have to take three tests during the courses in the online or offline mode and the teachers will keep a record of the marks scored by the students in the tests. She also added that the students who are lagging behind can be taken along through the bridge course. She further stated that the initiative will be useful in strengthening the foundation of the education of the children. 

Reopening of Schools in villages

Maharashtra state CM  has recently asked the Education Department to explore the possibility of restarting schools and colleges in the villages for the class 10 and 12 students without COVID-19 cases.

The villages which have not reported fresh COVID-19 cases for a long time and where there are no chances for finding new infections could be considered for reopening of the schools and colleges.
