As per the notification, this year CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET exam will be conducted on December 9th.

The candidates for who are preparing for the CTET Examination 2018, we have some important update for you. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the revised date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). According to the latest notification, CTET 2018 Exam will be conducted on December 9th, 2018. Candidates can visit official website ctet.nic.in for latest updates on CBSE CTET 2018 Exam date. Earlier, the board had fixed September 16, 2018, for the examination but later it decided to revise it because the application process was pushed back. Some media reports suggest the exam has been delayed because of Human Resources and Development Ministry order to continue to conduct the CTET in the 20 Indian languages.

"CTET examination will be conducted in all Indian languages as was being conducted earlier. I have already directed @cbseindia29 to conduct the examination in all the 20 languages as was being done earlier," Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar had tweeted on June 18. "CTET examination will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Garo, Gujarati, Kanada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan & Urdu @cbseindia29," he added.

The board closed the online application registration for CTET on August 27, 2018. However, the candidates are allowed to pay their fee before August 30, 3:30 pm. The test will be conducted in 92 cities all over the country. Candidates securing 60 percent and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

The CTET will be conducted in two phases - Paper I and Paper II. The candidates who aspire to become Primary Teacher need to appear in Paper I (I-V).
