Haryana Schools to Reopen for Offline Classes with 100% Capacity from 1st Dec, confirms Education Minister Kanwar Pal

Haryana School Reopening: As per the latest update, the Schools across Haryana are slated to reopen for offline classes with 100% capacity starting from 1st December 2021. The news about schools being fully operational for offline classes was confirmed by the State Education Minister Kanwar Pal. The state government has permitted reopening of schools in the state with 100% operational capacity looking at the falling COVID-19 cases in the state and to ensure academic learning for students doesn’t suffer any futher. However, all schools have been directed to ensure complete adherence to COVID-19 precautionary guidelines to ensure safety of students and staff members.

News Confirmed by Education Minister

As reported earlier, the news about Schools in Haryana being allowed to reopen with 100% operational capacity was confirmed by the State Education Minister Kanwar Pal. Taking to social media platform twitter, Mr Pal sent out a message which read “"From December 1, all the government and private #schools of Haryana will open with full capacity. The compliance of the Covid protocol will continue as before. If any problem related to Covid arises again in future, then the government will take an immediate decision in this regard." In the tweet, minister also assured students and parents that it geared up to handle any outbreak or rise in COVID case numbers, if there is any.

Students Await Directions from Schools

Even as the State Government has given its go ahead for reopening of schools with 100% capacity, there is still confusion among students and parents about how the schools implement the order. As informed by the minister, the basic SOPs or Guidelines for COVID-19 precautions will remain the same but schools will have to tweak the schedules and timeslots to ensure staggered class timings to avoid overcrowding on campus. Local media reports say that attendance might not be made mandatory even this time as there are many students who have not been vaccinated yet.
