Along with starting the online registration process for IGNOU PhD Admission 2021, the exam authority has also notified the key important dates and timelines for the admission process. As per the information brochure issued by the NTA; the application process for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2021 commenced on 5^th December and will continue until 16^th December 2021. IGNOU Phd Entrance Test 2021 – Format and Duration

Along with notifying the exam dates for key or important events of the Phd Entrance Exam, the exam authority has also notified the exam format and duration of the test. As per the IGNOU PhD Admission 2021 Information brochure, the entrance examination for PhD candidates will be held in LAN Based CBT (Computer Based Test). The test duration will be of 180 minutes i.e. 3 Hours in which candidates will have to answer a total of 100 questions. Of the total number of questions, 50% questions will on Research Methodology while the rest of the 50% questions will be on Specific Subject.  In terms of marking scheme, the 100 questions will carry 4 marks each i.e. total 400 marks. There is no negative marking for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2021.

Candidates registering for IGNOU PhD Admission 2021 should note that the online application fee for the entrance test is Rs 1000/- for General (UR)/ OBC-(NCL)/ General-EWS category candidates; while it is Rs 800/- for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates.
