A postgraduate level advanced certification programme in deep learning has been launched by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. The 10-month executive programme will be offered in the online mode in partnership with TalentSpirit. The enrolment for the first batch has commenced and the classes for the students will commence from March 2021 at talentsprint.com.
According to the information provided a team of more than 10 interdisciplinary faculty members from IISc and TalentSprint will be teaching the participants via live and interactive online classes. The course includes the option of building their own projects and will also enable the participants to establish a portfolio demonstrating their learning.
Course details
The course includes a bridge course on programming and mathematical preliminaries, paradigms of machine learning, deep learning and its application, deploying Artificial intelligence systems, mathematical foundations and data visualisation. As part of the programme the students can also bring a problem that they or their organisation is facing oor can choose from the list of curated problems including fraud detection, brain tumour detection, expression identification etc.
Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science and automation in the Dean of Advanced Deep Learning programme - Chiranjib Bhattacharya speaking about the programme stated that the team of research faculty will teach and mentor the participants and help them build expertise in fundamentals and applications of Deep Learning.
Co-Founder and CEO TalentSprint Dr Santanu Paul stated that the programme has been specifically designed for working professionals who are keen to unleash the potential of deep learning in their careers. The programme will bring together lecturers by top research faculty at IISc and hands-on labs and projects supported by industry mentors.
