IP University BBA CET 2019 Paper Analysis:

IP University BBA CET 2019 Paper Analysis: Indraprastha University held the IP University BBA CET 2019 entrance exam on 11th May 2019. The entrance exam is held to screen students for admission to 3-year Degree Program in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) offered by IP University. As per the initial impressions, experts suggest that the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. As per the exam pattern, the test consisted of MCQs with each correct answer fetching 4 marks as compared to negative marking of 1 for every wrong answer.

Exam Pattern

As announced earlier, the Indraprastha University held the BBA CET 2019 exam as per the exam pattern notified in the notification. The test consisted of 150 questions which were to be answered in 150 minutes. The test was comprised of six key subjects i.e. General Awareness, English, Business Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Management Aptitude and Communicaiton Skills. As discussed above, the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The marking scheme followed included +4 marks for each correct answer and -1 mark for each incorrect one.

Section-wise Analysis

General Awareness and Business Awareness

Like last year, the General Awareness and Business Awareness section focused on Traditional / Static GK concepts. Around 25 to 26 questions were from Static GK area. In terms of domain presence, around 11-12 questions were asked from these areas. Another 8-9 questions were based on Sports, Movies, Polity and Current Affairs.  

English Language

The English section primarily focused on Grammar and Vocabulary components. In the Vocabulary section, the questions were primary based on concepts of fill-in-the-blanks and antonyms and synonyms. In the Reading Comprehension section, the paper focused on one key paragraph from where 8 to 9 questions were asked. Among the RC questions, 5 were fact based while the rest were vocabulary based questions.

Logical Reasoning

Compared to the rest of the question paper, the Logical Reasoning Section was relatively simpler and easier. Students have expressed relief and satisfaction regarding the easy difficulty level followed in it. Majority of questions in this domain were related to Analytical Reasoning.

Management Aptitude and Communication Skills

Again, for Management Aptitude and Communication Skills the overall difficulty level of the section was moderate or average. Around 7 to 8 questions in this field were from communication skills section. Similarly, the rest of the questions were based on General Knowledge and Business Knowledge. Majority of the questions were based on business taglines, names of the industry leaders and such other facts. Around 2-3 questions were also based on core Economics concepts.
