JEE Advanced 2019 Paper 1 Analysis: IIT Roorkee has successfully concluded Paper 1, 2 of JEE Advanced 2019 today. The Paper 1 was conducted from 9:00 AM to 12: 00 PM, while the timing of Paper 2 was from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Various teams from Jagranjosh.com collected feedback and students’ reactions about the difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2019. As per the student reactions, the JEE Advanced 2019 examination was not easy. It was more at the moderate level of difficulty and this much difficulty level was expected as per the students. As per the students, the most difficult of all the three sections was Physics, the mathematics section contained questions of moderate difficulty level however the questions were quite lengthy. Finally, students found chemistry to be the easiest of all the three sections.

As per students who appeared for JEE Advanced 2019 Paper 2, the overall difficultly level of the exam was tougher than the morning shift as expected by the candidates. According to the students, the Chemistry section was the easiest one in forenoon shift exam. Questions asked in Physics section were conceptually. The Mathematics section was lengthy and time taking.

As per the student reactions in the various media reports, the questions in the physics section were asked from class 11th and 12th. Whereas in the mathematics section, there were more questions from algebra and coordinate geometry. In chemistry, there were comparatively lesser questions on the topic of organic chemistry as compared to inorganic and physical chemistry. 

The second paper of the JEE Advanced is scheduled to be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM today. The exam is being held in the Computer-Based mode or the online format in selected cities across India and abroad. A total of 245000 candidates who qualified the JEE Main 2019 Entrance examination are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2019 this year. However, only 1,65,000 students applied for the examination. The result is expected by June 14, 2019, while the answer key is expected by June 4, as per the official website.

Both the Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the JEE Advanced 2019 are compulsory and the candidates need to appear for both these paper. This year, the JEE Advanced Cut-off for the unreserved category students was 89.754 NTA score and for EWS and OBC category students it was 78.217 and 74.316 respectively. For candidates belonging to the SC and ST category, a score of 74.316 and 54.012 respectively in JEE Main made them eligible for JEE Advanced and for PwD category students the cutoff was 0.113.

Steps to download JEE Advanced 2019 Admit Card

Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2019 are required to carry along their JEE Advanced 2019 admit card to the examination centre. Candidates can download their JEE Advanced 2019 Admit card from the official website i.e. jeeadv.nic.in. Candidates can use the simple steps given below to download their JEE Advanced 2019 Admit Card.

Step 1: Visit the official website jeeadv.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the JEE advanced admit card link available on the website

Step 3: Enter the login details asked for on the Admit Card link

Step 4: Download and Print the JEE Advanced 2019 Admit Card

Also, candidates are advised to download the Admit card before the examination day in order to avoid any confusion or last minute hassles.

Important Points to keep in mind on the exam day:

  • Candidates appearing for the JEE Advanced 2019 must carry their admit card to the examination centre today along with an original photo id proof.
  • Also, candidates are advised to reach the examination centre 1 hour before the commencement of the JEE Advanced 2019 examination in order to avoid any last minute confusion.  
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic devices inside the examination hall. Only pens, pencil, admit card and photo-id proof are allowed within the examination centre.
  • Candidate are not permitted to leave the examination hall before the stipulated time for the examination is over.
