JNU New Academic Calendar Released: According to the latest update, Jawaharlal Nehru University – JNU has decided to resume classes with return of students to its campus from 25th June 2020 onwards. The new academic calendar for the varsity was released by the administration on its official website i.e. jnu.ac.in on Saturday – 9^th May 2020, and has been made available to all the students online. The academic calendar has been tailored for monsoon session and includes dates and details about resumption of classes and holding of semester exams. The new academic calendar also confirmed that exams for Winter Semester to be over by 31st July 2020.

Students to Return to Campus by 25^th Jun 2020

According to the JNU Academic Calendar, the varsity expects the students to return to the campus between 25^th June and 30^th June 2020,  after which the varsity will “complete their remaining academic components and complete their examinations”. At the release event, JNU Vice Chanellor M Jagadesh Kumar also added that the calendar has been unanimously approved by all the deans of Schools and Chairpersons of Special Centres.

New Academic Session from 1^st August 2020.

According to the academic calendar released by JNU Administration, the new academic session for the varsity will begin from 1^st August 2020, irrespective of the completion of examinations by July end. The University plans to grant provisional registration / administration to the students and allow them to join the next semester. The registration process for monsoon semester will be held completely online, to help students complete the registration easily during the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
