Lucknow University Reopening: As per the latest update, the Lucknow University is all set to begin offline classes for BCA First semester students from today i.e. 25th October 2021 onwards. The reopening of the university will be carried out in strict compliance with the COVID-19 precautionary guidelines. The detailed notification about guidelines and protocols to be followed for reopening of Lucknow University has been uploaded on then official website of the varsity. 75% Attendance Mandatory for Students

The official notification issued by the varsity confirming the reopening of the university for BCA 1st Semester students also says that 75% attendance has been made mandatory for them. The notification says that "75% attendance is compulsory for appearing in the mid-semester tests and as well as end semester exams." This change has been announced by the varsity keeping in mind the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, schools and colleges are gradually reopening in the country. While mandatory attendance rule has been brought back by the varsity, students and staff members are still expected to follow all guidelines and protocols related to COVID-19 and follow precautionary measures including wearing of masks and social distancing.

School, College Reopening in States

Lucknow University’s latest circular about resumption of offline classes for BCA students is one of the many similar orders being passed for schools and colleges in the state. Earlier, the state government had decided to reopen schools for offline classes for classes 9 to 12 from 16th August 2021. Similarly, colleges across the state were allowed to reopen for offline or physical classes starting from 1st September 2021 onwards. Meanwhile, the last date to apply for hostel allotment to Undergraduate courses has been extended by Lucknow University until 25th October 2021.
