Madurai Kamaraj University has extended the last dates for the admissions for the DDE courses for the 2020-21 academic year. According to the notification provided on the official website, the last date for submitting the applications is December 31, 2020. Candidates must note that they will be able to submit the application forms in the online and offline mode.
According to reports, the admission process for the Directorate of Distance Education Courses commenced in October 2020 at the DDE Palkalai Nagar Campus, MKU Evening College at OutPost Alagar Kovil Road, Teni, Periyakulam and Palani, MKU Constituent College Thirumangalam, Vedasandur, Sattur, and Aruppulottai.

According to the notification provided the students have been advised not to approach any other admission centres or agents. The notification further stated that the higher educational institutions are required to follow the UGC regulations, the UGC Notification on Specification of Degree n other relevant regulations for all the programmes offered in the Online Distance Learning mode and other online modes.
The subjects and syllabus for all the 25 programmes at the DDE are required to be conducted similar to the regular mode. The university has also introduced a credit system instead of the marks.
The seminar classes for the students will be conducted during the weekends online until the lockdown continues.
The candidates who wish to register for the admissions are advised to visit the official website and complete the registration process following which the candidates will be able to complete the online application form.
