Noida School Timings: As per the orders of district authorities, classes from nursery to 8 in all schools across Noida and Greater Noida will begin at 10 am, effective January 18, 2024. Rahul Panwar, Gautam Buddh Nagar Basic Education Officer, stated that the new schedule would remain in effect until further directives are issued by the district administration. He emphasized the strict enforcement of this order in the wake of harsh weather conditions.
Earlier, junior classes from nursery to 8 were cancelled until January 16, 2024, as per the instructions by the district authorities. Meanwhile, a separate order from the district inspector of schools changed the hours of instruction for students in class 9 to class 12 from 10 am to 3 pm last week. As stated in the order, the schedule for classes 9 to 12 will be in place until January 20, 2024.
Noida School Timings: IMD Forecast Dense Fog In Noida
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the minimum temperature in the Noida district is likely to continue to hover around 5°C and maximum temperature between 18 and 19°C in the coming days. As per the latest information, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius while, a maximum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius on January 16, 2024.
Meanwhile, winter vacation in neighbouring Gurugram has been extended until January 20, 2024, for students up to class 3 due to poor visibility and severe cold wave. Additionally, government schools in Noida follow a winter schedule of 9 am to 3 pm. However, due to harsh weather conditions this year, the district administrations continue to revise timings and winter vacations to bring minor relief to the students.
