The National Talent Search Examinations for the class 10 students were conducted in the different states on December 13, 2020. Paper 1 of the examination was conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for 100 marks while paper 2 - Scholastic Aptitude Test - paper 2 was conducted for 100 marks consisting of Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. According to the details mentioned on the official website regarding the NTSE examinations, the students who qualify for the NTSE examinations will receive a monthly scholarship from the National Council of Educational Research and Training.
The examination results will be declared on the official website of the NCERT. Students can visit the official website for complete details related to the National Talent Search Examinations. The students who qualify for the examination will be able to appear for stage two of the examinations which will be conducted on June 13, 2021.
Eligibility for Exams
Only those students studying in class 10 in any of the recognized schools along with those studying in the Open Distance Learning Mode below the age of 18 and are appearing for the class 10 examinations for the first time are eligible to appear for the NTSE examinations.
The National Council for Education, Research, and Training conduct the schools-level examinations as multiple choice questions in the OMR sheet format.
Scholarship Amount Allocated
Students who qualify for the scholarship examinations will be selected from a total of 2000 students for a monthly scholarship by the NCERT. According to the amount slab set for the scholarships, the students from class 11 and 12 will receive Rs. 1250 will be awarded per month while the students from the Graduate and Postgraduate programme will receive a total of R. 2000 per month. The Ph.D. students will receive a scholarship amount according to the UGC norms.
