Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Tuesday announced that three new universities will be set up in the state. According to the announcement made by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the three new universities are to be set up in Saharanpur, Azamgarh and Aligarh Districts.
The state government of UP presented its annual budget for the 2020-21 financial year and speaking at the press conference, the chief minister said that the three new state universities are to be set up in the districts of Saharanpur, Azamgarh, and Aligarh. He also added that the budget is based on the development of the youth in the state and also proposes the setting of Atal Medical College in Lucknow. The budget, he pointed also proposes a plan for setting up a National Law University and an Ayush University in the state.
The budget presented mentioned that the state government has started the apprenticeship scheme for the educated but unemployed youth in the state. In this scheme Rs. 25,000 will be provided to the youth per month until the apprenticeship is over.
The chief minister also said that the budget proposes an amount of Rs. 1432 crore which is proposed under the Destitute Women Pension Scheme for taking care of destitute women and their children. An additional Rs. 4000 Crore is also proposed under the National Nutrition Drive in order to check malnutrition in Uttar Pradesh.
Along with these schemes, an amount of Rs. 5,791 Crore is also proposed under the Swachha Bharat Mission (Rural) while Rs. 500 Crore is allotted for the Ayodhya Airport and Rs. 92.50 Crore for the Airports under the Regional Connectivity Scheme.
