Visva-Bharati University has postponed the semester examinations until further notice for the different courses including the School Certificate Examination. The examinations have been postponed due to the COVIDd-19 pandemic. An official notification regarding the postponement of the university examinations was released on the official website of the university. The decision to postpone the university examination was taken in a meeting conducted with the heads of the different departments under the Santiniketan based central University.
According to the details mentioned on the official notification, the university examinations which include the School Certificate Examinations are postponed until further notification. The decision to postpone the university due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed by the government.

Students studying outside the campus are not required to return to the campus until further notification provided by the university. The schools, colleges, and universities across the country have been closed since March 2020 due to the lockdown imposed. A nationwide lockdown was announced from March 24, 2020, onwards.
Now, although the government has eased the restrictions, schools and colleges have remained closed sighting the pandemic situation.
Many of the universities and autonomous colleges have postponed their semester examinations due to the ongoing pandemic. With the guidelines issued by the UGC for conducting the online examinations, colleges have decided to conduct the examinations in the online mode.
