AMU Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

AMU Eligibility for Bachelor of Arts (Hons.)

  • Students must be passed in Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate  of  English  and  three  Subjects  from – Accountancy,  Arabic,  Banking, Biology,  Biotechnology,  Business  Organization,  Business  Studies,  Chemistry,  Commerce, Computer  Science,  Economics,  Education,  English,  Fine  Arts,  Geography,  Hindi,  History, Home    Science,    Islamic    Studies,    Mathematics,    Persian,    Philosophy, Physical    Health  Education,  Physics,  Political  Science/Civics,  Psychology,  Sanskrit,  Sociology,  Statistics,  Urdu and  Modern  Indian  Languages  (Bengali,  Tamil, Telugu,  Malayalam,  Marathi,  Punjabi  and Kashmir).
  • Degree/Sanad from any recognized Madarsa/Institution with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects
  • For B.A.(Hons.) with Arabic, students must have studied Arabic language at SSSC level/Class 12th

AMU Eligibility for B.Com programme–

  • Students should be qualified in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in Commerce stream or an equivalent examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate of all subjects including English and Accounts and two subjects from Economics, Business Studies, Business Organization, Commerce, Banking, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Diploma in Secretarial Practice examination of this University with not less than 55% marks (in theory subjects only) in aggregate

AMU Eligibility for B.A. (Hons) in Foreign Languages –

Students must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects.

AMU Eligibility for B.Sc in Life Sciences/Science –

  • Students passed in Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics.
  • For B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany/Zoology, the students must be passed in Biology subject at Class 12th level
  • For B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics/ Computer Applications, the   students must have passed Mathematics as the main subject at Class 12th level

AMU Eligibility for Social Sciences –

  • Students should be passed in Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent qualifying examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of English and three  subjects from – Accountancy, Arabic,  Banking, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Organization, Business Studies, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Fine Arts, Geography, Hindi, History, Home  Science,  Islamic  Studies,  Mathematics,  Persian,  Philosophy,  Physical  Health Education,  Physics,  Political  Science  /Civics,  Psychology,  Sanskrit,  Sociology,  Statistics, Urdu and Modern Indian Languages (Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Kashmiri)

AMU Admissions 2018 Application Form:

The application form of AMU Admissions 2018 is available in online mode only. The students can apply for UG programmes at AMU as mentioned below –

  1. Register Students need to visit the official website of AMU i.e. amucontrollerexams.com to register for AMU admissions 2018. Students need to provide a valid Username, set a password, valid e-mail id, name of the candidate and enter the ‘Captcha’ security code and click on register.
  2. Fill in the application form After registration, candidates can fill up the application form completely as available on the dashboard. The application form details include candidate’s basic detail, educational qualification details, entrance test and course details as well as test centre details.  
  3. Uploading documents Once the application form has been filled, students need to upload the scanned copies of a coloured photograph, signature and thumb impression in JPG format and of file size 20KB to 100 KB.
  4. Application fee payment students need to pay the application fee for AMU admissions 2018 in online mode using Debit Card/Credit Card only.
  5. Form submission – The application form can be submitted in online mode only. However, candidates are advised to download and get a print copy of their filled in application form of AMU admissions 2018.

Note: The online application form of AMU admissions 2018 may get rejected due to incomplete information, incorrect format, without application fee or if submitted after the last date.

The application form fee for AMU admissions 2018 is Rs. 400 for all the undergraduate programmes offered at Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Life Sciences, and Faculty of International Studies. However, if students are applying for sports category in the application then they need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 100.

AMU Admissions 2018 Test Centres:

The entrance test for AMU admissions 2018 will be conducted in the following locations only –

  • Aligarh (U.P.)  
  • Lucknow (U.P.)
  • Kolkata (W.B.) 
  • Srinagar (J. & K.)
  • Patna (Bihar)
  • Khanapara (Meghalaya) (adjoining Guwahati)  

Students will get to know about their allotted test centre as it will be mentioned on their AMU admit card 2018. Students need to visit only their allotted test centres.

AMU Admissions 2018 Results:

The results of AMU admissions test 2018 will be announced in the month of May for each course separately. The AMU admissions result 2018 will be available in online mode only. Students can log in with their username and password to check their qualifying status for the entrance test. The candidates, whose result will mention qualified status, will be eligible for admission to UG course at AMU.

AMU Admissions 2018 Merit list and Counselling:

After the AMU admission test, 2018 results are announced, the University’s Controller of Examinations prepares a merit list mentioning the name, scores, rank, the category of all the entrance test qualified candidates. These candidates will be eligible for admissions and are required to attend the counselling for the purpose. The candidates are required to attend the counselling with the valid documents for ascertaining the fulfilment of eligibility criteria for the course admission.  The final admission to all undergraduate courses will be made in order of merit only. Any candidate, who is found ineligible, will be disqualified from taking admissions to any course.
