Department of Agriculture, A&N Administration, Port Blair invited application for recruitment of various vacancies 2013. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 26 August 2013 and 30 August 2013.

Name of the Posts:

1. Agriculture Field Assistant: 16 posts
2. Soil Conservation Field Assistant: 11 posts
3. Laboratory Assistant: 01 post
4. Surveyor: 01 post
5. Draughtsman Grade – III: 02 posts

Total No. of Vacancies: 31

Age Limit:

• Candidate’s age must be between 18-33 years for Male and 18-38 years for female candidates.
• Relaxable for Govt. Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

• Agriculture Field Assistant: Candidates should 12^th Pass in science stream with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board/University and should qualify in written test to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission/Administration.
• Soil Conservation Field Assistant: Candidates should 12^th Pass in science stream with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board/University and should have done Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI Trade Certificate course in Survey or Draughtsman ship.
• Laboratory Assistant: Candidates should 12^th Pass in science stream with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board/University and Diploma in Laboratory Technicians course from recognized Institution. Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in science with Botany as one of the subject from a recognized university or equivalent with 02 years experience in the relevant field.
• Surveyor: 10^th Pass from a recognized Board/University and should possessed Trade Certificate in Surveyor course of 02 years duration from any recognized ITI. Candidate must qualify in competitive examination to be conducted by the department.
• Draughtsman Grade – III: 10^th Pass from a recognized Board/University and should possessed 02 years Diploma Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil) from a recognized Institution. Candidate must qualify in competitive examination to be conducted by the department.

Pay Scale:

• Agriculture Field Assistant: (PB-I) Rs 5200-20200+GP Rs.1900/-
• Soil Conservation Field Assistant: (PB-I) Rs 5200-20200+GP Rs.1900/-
• Laboratory Assistant: (PB-I) Rs 5200-20200+GP Rs.2000/-
• Surveyor: (PB-I) Rs 5200-20200+GP Rs.2400/-
• Draughtsman Grade – III: (PB-I) Rs 5200-20200+GP Rs.2400/-

Selection process:

Candidate will be selected on the basis of Personal Interview and experience.
