Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025: The Government of Assam has decided to continue the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025, a flagship initiative aimed at promoting higher education among meritorious students.Under this scheme, students who score 80% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Final Exam 2025, conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), will get free scooters (electric or petrol).

Initially launched in 2020, this scheme has now been upgraded to benefit all deserving students regardless of gender, to enhance access to higher education.

Objectives of the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme

The main goals of the Assam Scooty Scheme 2025 are:

• To promote academic excellence by motivating students to perform better.
• To encourage students to pursue higher education.
• To provide students with better mobility for easier access to educational institutions.
• To improve the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in Assam.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025

To avail benefits under the Assam Pragyan Bharti Scooty Scheme 2025, students must meet the following conditions:

• Resident-ship: Must be a resident of Assam.
• Minimum Marks: Must have secured 80% or more marks in the HS Final Examination 2025 conducted by ASSEB.
• Other Criteria:
• Students under betterment or reappearance category are not eligible.
• Students studying outside Assam are eligible if they hold a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam.

How to Apply for Pragyan Bharati Scheme 2025?

• In the earlier phase (2020), a dedicated online portal was used for applications.
• Currently, data is fetched directly from ASSEB, which includes all academic details of the students.
• Eligible students will be required to fill out an online application form.
• The link to the form will be shared by the Director of Higher Education (DHE), Assam, on the official website.

Assam Scooty Merit List 2025

The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam released the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme Merit List 2025 on 11th May 2025. The list is available for different streams:
