Assistant Professor Recruitment 2013 in Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh Muslim University was set up in 1960 as a teaching-cum-affiliating university with headquarters at Aligarh Muslim. The university has colleges in five districts of Jharkhand, namely, Aligarh Muslim, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega and Lohardaga. It invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for the recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors in various subjects.

Assistant Professor: 32 posts (Faculties of Social Sciences/ Arts/ Science, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Faculty of Medicine)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Masters Degree with good academic record and minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned or relevant subject from an Indian University

Besides this, the candidate must have cleared the UGC NET, CSIR or SLET/SET OR PhD Degree.

Pay Scale: PB-3, Rs 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP Rs 6,000

Selection Process

Applicants who fulfil the above mentioned eligibility criteria shall be selected through an Interview to be held at the University for which the university will notify to the shortlisted candidates.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment: The application fee is Rs 150 for all candidates that can be either paid in Cash via Cash receipt issued by the Cash Section, Finance Office,       AMU, Aligarh or it can be paid through Demand Draft payable to Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh at State Bank of India, AMU Branch, Aligarh  (code 5555).

Applicants must send the application form, DD/ Cash Receipt and prescribed documents mentioned in the notification along with recent passport-size photograph to the Assistant Registrar, (Selection Committee), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002 or can be delivered personally at the Reception Counter of Administrative Block.
